Abstract :
A simple electrochemical method is reported for the preparation of Ni2FeS4 (NFS) nanosheets on carbon sheet (CS)substrate.FESEM and EDAX data confirmed the presence of nanosheet morphology with required stoichiometry. NFS modified CS is employed as an electrode material for the development of non-enzymatic glucose sensor. Impedance data showed low charge transfer resistance for NFS/CS compared to bare CS, indicated its high charge transfer capability. The developed sensor exhibited wide linear response in two different glucose concentration ranges of 10 to 1850 mM and 2350 to 7750 mM with the sensitivity value of 0.71 mA mMꠓ1 cmꠓ2 and 0.14 mA mMꠓ1 cmꠓ2. Moreover, the selectivity data demonstrated good anti-interference property of NFS/CS towards glucose in the presence of possible interfering species viz. ascorbic acid, dopamine and uric acid.
