Abstract :
In this paper, the deposition of Ag porous foams from a novel electrolyte, using hydrogen bubbles as a template during deposition at high cathodic currents, is described. Using NH(4)(+) to increase the hydrogen evolution rate, foams with an average pore size of 20-45 mu m were produced. The size of the smallest branches was in the nanoscale range. The possible explanation of the dependence of the Ag deposition rate on the NH(4)(+) concentration increase is described.
